With an increasing number of over 300 moulds in stock and an ever growing collection of spinner and cowl mandrels, Aeroscale can provide your current or future projects with the scale quality you require. Damaged canopies can be supplied to Aeroscale to repair for casting to manufacture a new canopy- conditions apply. A custom purpose built machine constructed to commercial standards using duel vacuum tanks is used with a maximum vacuum size of 900 mm long x 300 mm high x 450 mm wide. Four different size vacuum tables can be used for optimum, maximum vacuum performance and added quality. All canopies are formed in quality clear PTEG in thickness from .5 mm to 1.5 mm. Dummy engines, exhausts, and pilots are available. Spinners are hand crafted to your specifications from a disk of aluminium and spun over a mandrel. There are no holes in the spinner cone except around the base plate as per most full size spinners. Spinners are spun in either 1.2 mm or 1.6 mm in thickness depending on size. Any shape can be reproduced by turning down a mandrel to suit. Custom back plates are machined for the spinners in thickness from 6 mm to 20 mm and can include weight reduction holes and a recess for the engine. Two, three or four bladed layouts are achieved from the indexing head rotary table. Cowls are manufactured in the same way single disk over a mandrel of either 1.2 mm or 1.6 mm aluminium and the cowl flaps can be incorporated into the cowl as a one-piece unit. The front of the cowl can be curved in so total scale appearance is achieved. Maximum size for spinners and cowls is 300mm in diameter.
