IS ELECTED TO SERVE YOUR NEEDS
The MAAA is made up of the State Associations, who each have representation on the Council/Board of Directors.
These are normally the elected President, Secretary and one other member of your committee. All office
bearers are volunteers who donate their time. The Board of Directors creates the policies under which the MAAA
operates and elects the MAAA Executive, the MAAA Executive appoints the Secretariat under contract.
The Board of Directors make decisions like setting the yearly membership fees, putting in place the annual
insurance, creating and approving the next year’s budget and developing and implementing policy.
The MAAA Executive is then tasked with implementing the policies and decisions of the Board.
