Welcome to the first edition of
Wingspan. This magazine is one of the
steps we’re taking to make sure we have
clear conversations with our members
and that we provide the tools our clubs
need to make it easier to get out there
and enjoy flying.
If you’ve seen RCM news you will know
that the MAAA recently launched a membership renewal campaign.
This campaign highlights a new direction for the MAAA and a new
vitality within the organisation.
Last year, the MAAA went through the process of approving a new
strategic plan that will take the organisation forward in a new,
considered direction.
As the leading national aeromodelling organisation in Australia,
we are committed to providing management support that will help
our clubs deliver the highest levels of service to new and existing
members.
In the next few months you’ll see a whole new look and feel from
the MAAA. We’ll launch a revamped website and we’ll also be doing
surveys so we can better understand the needs of our members
and find new ways to communicate.
We want to hear your views, because your passion and pride in our
sport will affect the future of aeromodelling across the country.
My report continues on page four; I hope you enjoy this first
edition of Wingspan.
