frequently raised by our members.
Don’t hesitate to contact us regarding
your concerns.
Club question:
We received written
notification fromour local council
regarding a noise complaint. The
council has asked that we submit a
development application addressing
things like traffic, parking, noise,
land use and zoning. We’ve been
aeromodelling at this site for 50 years
and haven’t had a problem like this
before. We do not know where to
start; how can the MAAA help us?
Response:
In this case the MAAA was
aware that the landowners supported
the club and wanted thematter
sorted out. If you find your club in a
similar situation, here is a list of a few
things you can send to the MAAA so
that we can provide the best advice,
and in some cases start to act on your
club’s behalf to resolve thematter.
Correspondence from the
landowners indicating their
continued support for the use
of the land for aeromodelling
purposes (if that is the case).
The formal correspondence
from the council about the noise
complaint, and then any further
correspondence in relation to
the request for a Development
Application.
